Pollution in New York

I am 12-year-old from New York. I’ve had allergies since I was little, but in the past couple of years, things have gotten worse. Every spring, I can barely go outside without sneezing, coughing, or struggling to breathe. My doctor says it’s because the air pollution and climate change are making pollen seasons longer and stronger. Sometimes, I feel trapped indoors while my friends play outside, just so I can avoid the smog and allergens. I wish the air was cleaner. I hope grown-ups work faster to fix this, so kids like me can breathe easy again.
